Khwopa Engineering College and Khwopa College of Engineering are proud to jointly organize the Fourth National Conference on Earthquake Engineering on 4th Magh 2081, to mark the National Earthquake Safety Day.

We have previously organized three international conferences on earthquake engineering (ICEE-PDRP) in 2016, 2019, and 2023, along with National Conferences on Earthquake Engineering (NCEE-Nepal) in 2076, 2078, and 2079 B.S. On behalf of the organizing committee, I am pleased to announce this upcoming event, where experts, researchers, and academics will converge to discuss critical aspects of earthquake engineering and post-disaster reconstruction.

Our goal is to foster a collaborative forum for advancing knowledge in earthquake resilience and response, particularly important for Nepal, a nation frequently impacted by major seismic events, such as those in 1990 B.S., 2045 B.S., 2072 B.S., and 2080 B.S. Earthquake engineering professionals in Nepal carry a dual responsibility: to ensure buildings are safe during earthquakes and to uphold the legacy of our traditional art and architecture. Balancing these goals remains a vital challenge, and I am optimistic that our collective efforts will lead us to solutions.
